LEWISTON – Sam Smith, an occupational therapist who built his own tiny house, will be the speaker at USM/LA Senior College Food for Thought 3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 13.
Smith, of Rockland, worked many summers as a stone mason and landscaper before he earned his OT degree, so when he decided that he wanted to live without rent or a mortgage, a tiny house seemed like a good solution. He began construction in 2019, and recently moved in.
The presentation is free and open to the public, via Zoom. Email laseniorcollege@gmail.com for the link by noon, Sunday, Dec. 12.
