COOPER MILLS – Sheepscot Valley Health Center has welcomed two new providers to the team, Dr. Ann Schwink and physician assistant Anna Simmler.
Simmler earned a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from A.T. Still University in Arizona. She brings a strong background in emergency medicine and preventative care from a variety of settings. “Anna is an appreciated addition to the HealthReach team and the broader community of Coopers Mills,” HealthReach officials said in a news release.
Schwink – a longtime provider at HealthReach’s Strong Area Health Center – has transitioned from providing primary care to focus on medication assisted treatment services at several HealthReach sites for patients affected by opiate use disorder. Schwink holds her doctoral degree in osteopathic medicine from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, she is board certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine, and she holds an additional certification in addiction medicine from the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians.
Simmler and Schwink join Dr. Kathryn Wistar, family nurse practitioner Natalie Ledue, physician assistants Craig Urwin and Zachary Wissman, podiatrist Henry Scheuller, and licensed clinical social worker Lynn Murph at Sheepscot Valley Health Center. The center offers medical and behavioral health services to patients of all ages from Coopers Mills, Jefferson, Somerville, Washington, Whitefield, Windsor – as well as nearby towns – since its founding in 1980.
