WAYNE – The Wayne Holiday Stroll will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 4 and 5, in Wayne village. The town’s tree lighting will be at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, at both the Johnson House and Memorial Park.
Local businesses, artists, crafters and more will participate in the stroll on Saturday and Sunday, and a drawing for a basket of local wares will be held at the end of the day.
Some of the organizations taking part will be:
Cary Memorial Library, Saturday only, at the Williams House, 9 to 1 a.m., 17 Old Winthrop Road;
Ladd Center, 26 Gott Road, cookie decorating for kids, 10 a.m. to noon Saturday;
Santa at Wayne Community Church, 22 Old Winthrop Road, 3:30 p.m. Sunday;
Wayne Fire Department soup and chowder fundraiser, 9 a.m. until sold out Saturday and mulled cider, candy canes and fireman’s hat for kids Sunday;
Memorial Park cardboard snowperson set up starting at 3 p.m. Friday.
