Leeds Historical Society open house, holiday sale is Dec. 4

Oct. 162021

LEEDS — The Leeds Historical Society will hold an open house and holiday sale on from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4 at the History Center, Route 106.
Those attending will be able to see the work the LHS had done renovating the History Center and pick up some Leeds history-themed Christmas presents while there.
New this year are prints and notecards of paintings by Nancy Brackett. Nancy, a long-time resident of Leeds, started painting at age 73, and was often referred to as the “Grandma Moses of Maine.” The LHS has several prints of her works, donated by her daughters Mary Irace and Judy Brackett, who have given permission for the LHS to sell them as a fundraiser.
