BRIDGTON — Photographer Lynn Harrison will be available to sign copies of her new book, “At Peace in Nature,” from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, at Gallery 302, 112 Main St.
As a great lover of the natural world, Harrison captures the beauty and serenity of nature in her photographs of woods, ponds, leaves and reflections in water. Her book contains quiet musings on the tranquility of nature, which complement the photos.
“I have been fascinated with making photographs all of my life,” Harrison said. “From my Brownie Holiday Flash camera to my mirrorless camera today, I’ve been happiest with a camera in hand. Composition, format, negatives, prints, the darkroom, Lightroom – all of these – have made up my photographic world. The best part is being completely absorbed in a “shoot”, when I feel most naturally myself and at peace.”
Harrison was one of the founding members of Gallery 302 and was responsible for starting the “Camp Show,” an exhibit of artwork by kids from area summer camps which happens each summer at the gallery.
