LEWISTON — Lewiston Public Library is hosting a two-sentence horror story contest, which the public can participate in both online and in person.
The free contest is open to all, and there will be three gift card prizes. Submissions will be accepted through Oct. 31, and voting will be from Nov. 1 to 14 at the library, 200 Lisbon St.
Stories can be submitted to the 2-Sentence Horror Story Contest online at lplonline.org/events/2-sentence-horror or in person at the reference desk on the second floor of the Library. Community members will vote for their favorite story to choose the winner. The three stories with the most votes will win a Hannaford gift card: $50 for 1st place and $25 for 2nd and 3rd runners-up. Only one story per person may be entered into the contest. All stories submitted must be original work and appropriate for display in the library and on social media.
