Turner Publishing area students graduate from Bates

LEWISTON – Students from across Turner Publishing’s circulation area of central, western and midcoast Maine were among 469 students from 38 states and 43 countries who graduated from Bates College on May 27.
Area graduates are:
AUBURN: Austin Dumont, who graduated magna cum laude after majoring in politics and minoring in education, the son of Rene L. Dumont and Julia Dumont, and a 2017 graduate of Edward Little High School; Noah Dumont, who graduated after majoring in sociology, the son of Rene L. Dumont and Julia Dumont, and a 2017 graduate of Edward Little High School.
AUGUSTA: Jasmine Nutakki, graduated after majoring in biological chemistry, the daughter of Jayadev D. Nutakki and Reena P. Nutakki, and a 2017 graduate of Cony High School.
BRUNSWICK: Amelia Keleher, who graduated magna cum laude after majoring in American cultural studies and minoring in anthropology, the daughter of Tom F. Keleher and Michelle R. Keleher, and a 2017 graduate of International School Hilversum; Nick White, who graduated magna cum laude after majoring in music and biological chemistry, the son of Christopher H. White and Diane W. Rognerud, and a 2017 graduate of Brunswick High School.
FARMINGTON: Thaddeus Gunther, who graduated cum laude after majoring in biology, the son of Eric V. Gunther and Judith A. Gunther, and a 2017 graduate of Mount Blue High School.
FRYEBURG: William Davis, who graduated after majoring in interdisciplinary studies and minoring in digital and computational studies, the son of Kathleen D. Hunsicker and Calvin E. Hunsicker, and a 2017 graduate of Fryeburg Academy.
GREENE: Prisca Mbunga, who graduated after majoring in biology, the daughter of Antoine Kikobo and Brigitte Dielumbaka.
LEWISTON: Charlotte Lynskey, magna cum laude, majoring in psychology, the daughter of Bronwyn J. Lynskey and Peter J. Lynskey, and a 2017 graduate of Sage Hill School; Tyler Simmons, magna cum laude, majoring in physics and Chinese and minoring in mathematics, the son of Richard T. Simmons and Jennifer S. Simmons and a 2016 graduate of The Maine School of Science and Mathematics; Hannah Sweeney, graduated cum laude, majoring in history, the daughter of Jerome V. Sweeney III and Margaret H. MANCHESTER: Nathan Delmar, who graduated after majoring in history and minoring in philosophy and Asian studies, the son of Mark Delmar and Janet Delmar, and a 2017 graduate of Maranacook Community School.
NEW GLOUCESTER: John Phillips, graduated cum laude after majoring in history and minoring in anthropology, the son of Mark O. Phillips and Louise C. Phillips, and a 2017 graduate of Gray-New Gloucester High School; Tucker Pierce, graduated after majoring in environmental studies and minoring in history, the son of Daniel K. Pierce and Sarah C.
