Turner artist is Main Street Gallery September featured artist

NORWAY — The Western Maine Art Group continues its summer season with a First Friday reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 3 at the Main Street Gallery, 426 Main St.
In addition, the “Then and Now” exhibit at the Matolcsy Art Center, 480 Main St., will be open. The galleries exhibit the work of artists and artisans living and working in western Maine.
Featured artist of the month at Main Street Gallery is Erica Christensen, who will display original watercolors, giclee prints, and notecards. Flowers, wading birds, and landscapes are favorite subjects.
Chistensen lives lives in Turner, loves to travel, to walk both beaches and woods trails, and to garden both flowers and vegetables. All of those interests are places to find interesting subjects to paint.
Main Street Gallery is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
