Oxford summer mission program yields donations to animal shelter, food pantry

OXFORD — The Oxford Seventh-Day Adventist Church kids’ group recently spent two months collecting funds, food donations and pet supplies from church members, family and friends to support Responsible Pet Care and the Oxford Food Pantry, as their summer community mission project.
The children recently presented a $400 checks to Responsible Pet Care manager Mitchell Shaw, as well as to the Oxford Seventh Day Adventist Church food pantry.
The church isat 259 Fore St. Services are held on Saturdays (Sabbath School 9:30 a.m.; church service 10:45 a.m.).
