Psychiatric health NP joins three HealthReach practices

WATERVILLE — Theresa Rush, a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, has joined three HealthReach clinics in order to provide psychiatric assessment, diagnosis and treatment.
Rush has joined the staffs at Western Maine Family Practice in Livermore Falls, Belgrade Regional Health Center and Richmond Area Health Center.
Rush recently earned a master of science in nursing, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner degree at Regis College in Weston, Mass. She also holds an associate of science in nursing degree from Central Maine Community College and a bachelor of science in nursing form the University of Maine at Augusta.
Rush also has a longstanding history of working with psychiatric and neurodiverse patients in a group home setting before earned a RN degree. She also has spent the last three years working as a nurse care manager for the Behavioral Health Homes Program, which focuses on bridging the gap between psychiatric and medical health care. “She brings a great deal of medical experience and insight to the mental health specialty and will be a tremendous asset to our team,” HealthReach said in a news release.
HealthReach is a private nonprofit with a 45-year history, funded by patient fees, grants and by the Health Resources and Services Administration of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. It has 11 locations in western and central Maine, including in Bethel, Belgrade, Bingham, Albion (Lovejoy Health Center), Kingfield (Mount Abram Regional Health Center), Madison, Rangeley, Richmond, Pittsfield (Sheepscot Valley Health Center), Strong and Livermore Falls (Western Maine Health Center).
