Auburn All-Stars take home Babe Ruth Softball 10U championship trophy

SOUTH PARIS — Auburn Suburban Baseball Softball’s 10U All Stars won the Babe Ruth Softball League State Championship with a decisive 16-1 win over Andy Valley. The tournament was held at the Dennis Rugg Sports Complex in Oxford July 9-11.
The team garnered a 3-0 record on the weekend in a straight shot to becoming champs, with a 19-0 win over Brunswick and a 14-2 win over Andy Valley, advancing to Sunday’s championship game.
They had solid contributions from every player offensively, and were led defensively by Emily Poulin on the mound, who tallied 23 strikeouts in eight innings pitched.
