Lovell student earns communications academic honor

MILTON , Mass. — Laura Friedman, of Center Lovell, has been inducted into Lambda Pi Eta, the official communication honor society of the National Communication Association, at Curry College.
Friedman was one of 15 students inducted at the college at the end of the spring semester. She was also named to the Curry College spring semester dean’s list.
Since 1988, Lambda Pi Eta has been a highly selective honor society for students who have declared an interest in the field of communication and who have achieved a high level of academic excellence. In order to qualify for Lambda Pi Eta at Curry College, a student must earn a minimum of 60 credits, with at least 15 graded credits with a minimum 3.5 GPA in communication courses, as well as a minimum 3.4 GPA overall. Students must also exhibit a commitment to the field of communication.
