LEWISTON – The Greater Androscoggin Humane Society has announced the winners of its annual summer fundraiser.
Winners are David Franchetti, of Turner, who won $500 cash; Abbe Ramanan, of Auburn, $300; Brenda Rivard, of Mechanic Falls, $200; Robin Morse, of Portland, $100.
The funderaiser raised $11,000 with all proceeds directly benefit the Humane Society.
The Greater Androscoggin Humane Society, at 55 Strawberry Ave., provides a safe haven for over 3,000 sick, homeless and abused animals in the greater Androscoggin area a year. The primary support for the shelter comes from fundraising events and donations from individuals.
