BRIDGTON — The donation of four ping pong tables to the town of Bridgton, by Bill Pries, ping-pong coordinator, will allow the Maine Senior Games Ping Pong Tournament to come to town.
The tournament will take place at noon Sunday, Aug. 8, at Town Hall, 26 North High St. It is open to all players, age 45 or older.
The Senior Games will provide imprinted T-shirts and a grab bag for all participants, along with food, water,and Gold, Silver and Bronze medals for the winners. Spectators are welcome to stop by and see the action, at no cost.
Ping-pongers of all abilities are also welcome to participate in the Community Ping Pong Program, which started more than 17 years ago, will continue to meet from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday. It is a drop-in program, and paddles and balls are available for players to use. Cost to play is $1.
