AUBURN — Central Maine Community College will host its annual summer open house for prospective students and their families Tuesday, July 13, from 2 to 6 p.m. at its lakeside campus, 1250 Turner St.
This event will provide an exciting opportunity to learn about the college’s new degree programs — social science, conservation lawenforcement and exercise science. In addition to having academic programs, student organizations, and athletics represented, staff members and students will be ready to assist with the admissions and financial aid application processes.
All who attend the open house can take a guided tour of the campus or simply visit certain programs, services, or housing facilities. Light refreshments will be provided.
CMCC offers 40-plus degree programs and certificates that prepare graduates for immediate employment or to transfer to a four-year institution. In addition to on-campus housing and a large number of student clubs and activities, the college offers competitive athletic teams — basketball, soccer, softball, volleyball, track and cross-country for women; basketball, baseball, soccer, cross-country, track and ice hockey for men.
