At a young age, Carll, cemetery sexton for the Town of Manchester. always looked forward to helping her grandmother in the family cemetery in Durham. Carll grew to enjoy walking around cemeteries and looking at the history on each stone, and was sad to see the broken stones in such need of repair.
Five years ago, she joined Maine Old Cemetery Association and has attended workshops around Maine to learn the best practice for stone cleaning and repair. Carll will share the information at the WMHS meeting.
