Gardiner program reaches out to seniors who need connection

GARDINER — Do you or a loved one live alone in Gardiner or South Gardiner? Are you a senior or an adult with disabilities or know someone who is? If these circumstances apply to you or to a friend or loved one, then the Good Day Gardiner Program may be for you.
The Gardiner Police Department and Community Outreach Committee, a subcommittee of the Gardiner Democratic Committee, are partnering to raise awareness about the program, which offers weekday well-being checks via phone to residents.
Those enrolled in the program receive a daily phone call every weekday to check on their wellbeing. The committee is encouraging more residents who would benefit to sign up for the program.
