Judging for annual waterfowl stamp art contest is online May 12

AUGUSTA — This year’s annual waterfowl stamp art contest will be held online at 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 12.

Artists submit an original painting of a designated species of waterfowl to be considered in the contest. This year’s designated contest species is the long-tailed duck.
The winning artist’s piece will be used to create the 2021 State Waterfowl Hunting Stamp. Waterfowl stamps are available for purchase by collectors, and revenues from the sales of both the stamp and the waterfowl hunting permit are dedicated to waterfowl conservation programs in Maine.
