Tri-Town Optimists name RSU 16 April Student of the Month

The Mechanic Falls, Minot and Poland Tri-Town Optimist Club April Regional School Unit 16 Student of the Month is Evan Kelly, a senior at Poland Regional High School. Kelly has always demonstrated the school’s core values of character, citizenship and community, but truly stepped up in the face of COVID-19. After connecting with his pastor, he served community members who were unable to leave their home, and delivered groceries and helped any way he could. At school, he has maintained the high academic engagement and performance that earned him membership in the National Honor Society as a junior. He has also continued to contribute on the field in football, basketball, and outdoor track. (Submitted photo)
