READFIELD — Readfield Community Library story time for preschoolers at the Readfield Beach is at 9:30 a.m. every Tuesday, beginning May 4.
This is the fourth year story time has been held at the beach during the summer, but it is beginning a month earlier than usual. The beach is on Route 17, behind the Weathervane Restaurant.
Store time will include crafts for children. Some topics include May Day, Mother’s Day, butterflies and Cinco de Mayo. A surprise musical guest will visit the first Tuesday of the month.
Everyone is invited. Children and their big person are asked to bring chairs or a blanket to sit on and to dress for the weather. The grass may be damp. The story time follows rules for social distancing and mask-wearing.
In the case of inclement weather, there will be a an announcement on Facebook and notice will be sent to those who have provided email addresses, and story time will be on Zoom at the link used from November through April. Contact the library for the link.
