Frauds and Scams webinar is April 15

NORWAY — Norway Memorial Library and SeniorsPlus will host Val Cole, instructor at SeniorsPlus, who will speak on “Fraud and Scams” via Zoom from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 15.
The workshop will give attendees information needed to determine what is real and what is a scam, as well as what the latest scams are and where to report a scam.
The program is being held during Money Smart Week, April 10-17, and is free and open to the public. Money Smart Week is a national public education program coordinated by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and delivered by a network of supporters that empowers people with the knowledge and skills to make better-informed personal financial decisions around the key financial pillars of saving, spending, borrowing and planning.
This year’s virtual campaign aims to help people better manage their personal finances with a focus on those hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. Webinars are free and open to the public at www.moneysmartweek.org [1] but registration is advised.
To register for the Frauds and Scams workshop, email edcenter@seniorsplus.org or call SeniorsPlus at 207-795-4010. The Zoom meeting invitation will be emailed to registrants by SeniorsPlus.
