LEWISTON – Area students have been named to the Bates College 2020 deans list.
Students named to the dean’s list have a grade point average is 3.88 or higher.
Recognized for academic achievement are:
AUBURN: Austin Dumont, the son of Rene L. Dumont and Julia Dumont, a 2017 graduate of Edward Little High School who is majoring in politics and minoring in education; Noah Dumont, the son of Rene L. Dumont and Julia Dumont, a 2017 graduate of Edward Little High School who is majoring in sociology.
AUGUSTA: Nathan Berry, the son of Henry N. Berry IV and Joan F. Berry, a 2019 graduate of Cony High School who is majoring in psychology.
BRUNSWICK: Emily Carty, the daughter of James C. Carty and Deanna L. Pouliot,a 2018 graduate of Fryeburg Academy who is majoring in anthropology and minoring in history; Merys Carty, the daughter of James C. Carty and Deanna L. Pouliot, a 2020 graduate of Fryeburg Academy who is majoring in history; Nick White, the son of Christopher H. White and Diane W. Rognerud, a 2017 graduate of Brunswick High School who is majoring in music and biological chemistry.
FARMINGTON: Thaddeus Gunther, the son of Eric V. Gunther and Judith A. Gunther, a 2017 graduate of Mt. Blue High School who is majoring in biology.
LEWISTON: Jenny Martin, daughter of Kathy L. Martin and Derwood Martin,a 2017 graduate of Lewiston High School who is majoring in history;
MONMOUTH: Ed Zuis, the son of Edmund Zuis and Catherine V. Squires and a 2020 graduate of Monmouth Academy.
NEW GLOUCESTER: John Phillips, son of Mark O. Phillips and Louise C. Phillips, a 2017 graduate of Gray-New Gloucester High School who is majoring in history and minoring in anthropology; Paige Cote, the daughter of Daniel P. Cote and Claire L. Cote, a 2019 graduate of St. Dominic Academy who is majoring in biological chemistry.
SOUTH PARIS: Luke Allen, the son of Roger L. Coffin and Holly J. Allen, a 2018 graduate of Oxford Hills High School who is majoring in theater and history and minoring in education.
WINDHAM: Jeremy Bennett, the son of Nathaniel L. Bennett and Nini Chang, a 2017 graduate of Windham High School who is majoring in biology and minoring in chemistry.
