LIVERMORE FALLS — Treat Memorial Library has something for those looking for something new to read.
Among the new books on the shelves are the picture book “Milo Imagines the World,” by Matt de la Pena; the romantic novel “Much Ado about You,” by Samantha Young; and the fantasy “The Witch’s Heart,” by Genevieve Gornichec.
For more recommendations, tune in at noon Saturday, March 13 and 27 for Bonkers for Books on the library’s Facebook page.
Thursdays at 4 p.m. during March will feature March Music Madness, where books and music collide. Staff will discuss some of their favarotie music-related books and recommend further listening for your perfect reading soundtrack.
The book club meets over Zoom at 3 p.m. the second Thursday of the month. Those who would like to participate can get a copy of the book, as well as the Zoom email link to the meeting, from library staff. It will conclude its Maine History series with “Almost, Maine,” by John Cariani, on March 11.
Those missing travel may take a journey in their imagination with the Armchair Traveler Game on Facebook at 1 p.m. every Tuesday. The library provides the continent, date, compass direction and weather. The rest of the journey is yours to decide.
Online Story Time is 10:30 a.m. every Wednesday, where staff shares some of their favorite picture books, rhymes, and songs. The March 17 edition will be a special St. Patrick’s Day event.
The library is open for browsing and computer use by appointment only Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays. Everyone must comply with safety guidelines.
