Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens topic of L/ASenior College Jan. 21 presentation

LEWISTON — Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens will be the topic of a virtual presentation by L/A Maine Senior College at 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21.
The Zoom presentation is free and open to tpye public. Sing up by emailing laseniorcollege@gmail.com by noon Wednesday, Jan. 20. Be sure to mention the presentation topic and your name.
The mission of the botanical gardens, in Boothbay, is to inspire meaningful connections among people, plants and nature through horticulture, education and research. Founded in 2007, the gardens offer nature lovers, gardeners, and seekers of new experiences a sense of connection, rejuvenation and awe-inspiring moments.
Irene Barber, horticulture educator and therapist at the botanical gardens, will provide a virtual tour of a day there. Participants will learn about bees at the apiary, native moths and butterflies in the butterfly house, the different gardens, and more.
