LEWISTON — Community Concepts Finance Corp. has named Nate Libby as president.
Libby has been working with Community Concepts as a consultant on two wellness shelter projects since April. CCFC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Community Concepts and provides home and business loans along with financial coaching and homebuyer education to help people and businesses realize their financial goals.
Libby is assuming the role previously held by Glen Holmes, CCFC’s president since 2017, who has taken a position with the city of Auburn.
“Community Concepts Finance Corporation believes all individuals, families and communities can be financially secure and the programs and services we offer directly address what I view as our state’s biggest challenge: growing our economy and household incomes,” Libby said. “I look forward to leading an outstanding team in support of our mission.”
Libby, a Lewiston resident, who is serving his final two-year term in the Maine Senate, has worked for eight years as a consultant to nonprofit and local government clients and has a masters in business administration from the University of Southern Maine. He also has a bachelor’s degree in history and economics from Bates College.
“Nate has been our project manager for both of the wellness shelters, helping us get the initial shelter open in just two weeks,” saod Shawn Yardley, chief executive officer of Community Concepts. “His commitment to our community aligns with our overall mission to strengthen individuals, families and communities in western Maine by providing diverse programs, engaging in strategic partnerships and through advocacy to address the barriers to promote economic opportunities for all.”
