LIVERMORE FALLS — Treat Memorial Library has a new online program for January — Cabin Fever Crafts.
The program will be at 4 p.m. every Thursday. Break out of boredom, get creative ideas and try something new with the library.
The library will be closed New Year’s Day, Friday, Jan. 1, as well as Tuesday, Jan. 19, Martin Luther King Day.
Treat Memorial Library is providing curbside service only to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Curbside service for pick-up of books and other library materials is available Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. Patrons may log onto their accounts or call the library to reserve available items, and staff will call to make an appointment to pick up.nt for pick up.
For those who prefer browsing, curbside menus will be available to help with book selection. Staff will also be available to assist with printing, copies and faxing through curbside. Inter-library loan services will also still be available.
There are also plenty of things happening online to keep everyone busy.
The book club meets over Zoom at 3 p.m. Thursday,. Jan. 14. Those who would like to participate can get a copy of the book, as well as the Zoom email link to the meeting, from library staff. This month’s book is “The Great Mars Hill Bank Robbery,” by Ron Chase, part of the library’s Maine history series.
The library staff also shares its favorite titles on its Facebook page at noon, Saturday Jan. 9 and Jan. 23 in Bonkers for Books.
Those missing travel may take a journey in their imagination with the Armchair Traveler Game on Facebook at 1 p.m. every Tuesday. The library provides the continent, date, compass direction and weather. The rest of the journey is yours to decide.
Online Story Time is 10:30 a.m. every Wednesday, where staff shares some of their favorite picture books, rhymes, and songs.
