Ribbon-cutting held for Saddleback reopening

RANGELEY — Saddleback Mountain, which reopened Dec. 15 after being closed for five years, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Sunday, Dec. 13.
Arctaris Impact Fund bought the mountain on Jan. 31, and has invested $18 million in preparing for the reopening. Arctaris leadership attended the ribbon-cutting, along with representatives from Maine’s congressional delegation, state and local government, mountain leadership and members of Saddleback’s Advisory Board.
“The word of the day is legacy. The Saddleback legacy started in 1960. We are standing on the shoulders of the great people that have come before us. We would not be here today without their vision,” said Uche Osuji, managing director, Arctaris Impact Investors.
Doppelmayr USA was also on site to present Saddleback with a customary bell to bless the new lift.
