LIVERMORE FALLS — Treat Memorial Library has returned to curbside service only, beginning Tuesday, Nov. 24.
Curbside service for book pickup and other library materials will be available Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. Patrons may long into their account, reserve available items and the library will call to make an appointment for pickup.
Patrons may also call the library to reserve books. For those who prefer browsing, curbside menus will also be available to help with book selection. Staff will also be available to assist with printing, copies and faxing through curbside. Inter-library loan services will also still be available.
“This is a sad decision to have to make, but the safety of the community is top priority right now,” library officials said. “We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. Please be safe and well!”

The library will be closed Thursday, Dec. 24 and Friday, Dec. 25. The library will also close at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 31.
New book arrivals include the gothic novel “Plain Bad Heroines,” by Emily M. Danforth, the poetry collection “Break Your Glass Slippers,” by Amanda Lovelace, and the middle grade ice skating novel, “Ana on the Edge,” by A.J. Sass.

The book club meets over Zoom at 3 p.m. the second Thursday of the month. Those who would like to participate can get a copy of the book, as well as the Zoom email link to the meeting, from library staff. The selection for December is “The Great Mars Hill Bank Robbery,” by Ronald Chase, which recounts a real life bank robbery in northern Maine. The discussion for this title, which is part of the library’s Maine history series, will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10. Call the library for a copy of the book through curbside before the discussion date.
Holiday Craftorama is held every Thursday in December at 4 p.m. on Facebook.
The library also shares its favorite titles on its Facebook page at noon, Saturday Dec. 12 and Dec. 26 in Bonkers for Books.
Those missing travel may take a journey in their imagination with the Armchair Traveler Game on Facebook at 1 p.m. every Tuesday. The library provides the continent, date, compass direction and weather. The rest of the journey is yours to decide.
Online Story Time is 10:30 a.m. every Wednesday, where staff shares some of their favorite picture books, rhymes, and songs.
