CARRABASSETT VALLEY — Two Carrabassett Valley Academy alumni have been voted into the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame. Two-time Olympic snowboard champion Seth Wescott ’95 and U.S. Ski Team Freestyle aerialist Kristean Porter Thorpe ’89 join three other CVA alumni who have been inducted into the hall: Bode Miller ’96, Kirsten Clark Rickenbach ’95 and Julie Parisien Nuce ’89.
“They represent the highest level of national achievement in America, featuring prominent athletes and snow sport builders whose accomplishments showcase American skiing and snowboarding,” said a CVA spokesperson.
