Koussinoc Chapter DAR to meet Oct. 12 in Manchester

AUGUSTA — Koussinoc Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will meet at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 12, at the Manchester Grange Hall, 953 Western Ave., Manchester.
Ed Coffin will speak on the use of deeds to help determine historical accuracy.
This past year, with limited meeting time, the chapter has focused its energy as individuals to meet our chapter goals in three main categories: veterans needs, education and scholarships and patriotism. Moving forward, tasks will center around “America 250” – a National DAR project.
The Koussinoc Chapter was organized on Dec. 17, 1897. It has 74 members from the surrounding area and meets on the second Monday of the in various locations depending on the presentation or program.
