Paris town coat drive looks a little different this year

SOUTH PARIS — The town’s annual Free Coat Drive will look a little different this year.
Because residents will not be able to come into the town office and browse the coat selection, it will instead provide a form that will allow residents to request the number of coats for people in their household (one coat per household member). The form will also include a section to provide information around the color and size needed, as well as gender of the wearer.
The town will try its best to meet the needs of all requests, but coats will be distributed on a first come, first served basis. The town will notify those requiesting coats if the supply runs out in a specified size. Once the town receives request forms, it will notify those requesting coats of a time and date to pick up coats.
Applications will be available Oct. 1, and coats will be available a few weeks after.
