Video conference on Lewiston trail project, grant application is Sept. 17

LEWISTON — A video conference on a proposal to link the Marguerette Street and Warren Avenue trail to the Russell Street boardwalk will be held Thursday, Sept. 17.
A Recreational Trail Program Grant Working Group is submitting an application for the 2020 Maine Bureau of Parks and Lands Recreational Trails Program Grant to support the project. The Lewiston City Council authorized the Lewiston Public Works Department to move forward with the application in August.
The RTP Grant Working Group will provide information on the proposed project, including maps and pictures, which will be shared during the video conference. The group is seeking public input regarding the project.
The video conference will be held will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17. The link to attend is www.lewistonmaine.gov/2020RTPG. If residents can’t attend the meeting, comments via email are also accepted at mbates@lewistonmaine.gov
