LIVERMORE FALLS — A candlelight service will be held in commemoration of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks at 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 11 in Union Park. The public, police, EMS, fire departments and others are invited to the 15-minute silent vigil, which will be held rain or shine. Candles will be provided, but if it rains, participants should bring a flashlight. All who attend are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing. Lawn chairs may be brought it needed. In recent years less than 50 have gathered for the service, so organizers believe it can be held safely while also honoring those who died on Sept. 11, 2001.
