FAYETTE — There are two vacancies on the Fayette Board of Selectmen, and three candiates are seeking nomination to be on the ballot.
Michael Carlson, Toby Pond and Nathaniel Sparling all seek at least 25 electronic nominations by 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30.
Registered voters may email support to have any candidate on the ballot by e-mailing fayette@myfairpoint.net.
Individuals interested in being a candidate for selectmen, assessor and overseer of poor may contact the Town Office for more information.
To date, more than 200 registered voters in Fayette have requested an absentee ballot for the Nov. 3 election. Both the general “presidential” and selectmen ballots will be mailed out to all who have requested during the first week of October.
Those who wish to vote in person may do so 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, at Fayette Central School.
