Fayette selectmen to act on special election Aug. 25

FAYETTE — The Fayette Board of Selectmen will convene its next regular meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday Aug. 25, at Fayette Central School.
The board will take formal action to convene a special election to fill two vacancies, defining the dates and times for the nomination and approval processes. In other considerations, the board will hear from a property owner regarding a tax assessment concern.
Following the approval of accounts payable warrants and minutes, the board will enter executive session regarding a legal matter.
Also of note, the Friends of Starling Hall continue their efforts to support the historic building with their silent auction Saturday, Aug. 29. Maine CDC guidelines and protocols will be followed. More informaiton will be available soon.
