Tabitha’s Closet reopens with new guidelines, a few restrictions

Jul. 12020

WINTHROP –Tabitha’s Closet, a free-clothing ministry of the Winthrop United Methodist Church, 72 Main St., has reopened with the same schedule — 9 a.m. to noon the second and fourth Saturdays every month.
The closet is accepting donations of clothing, personal care products, linens, curtains, footwear and gently used or new toys.
Because of Maine CDC guidelines, however, check the organization’s website at wumc.org as well as Tabitha’s Closet Facebook page for more information. Included are new safety regulations. Masks are mandatory and for now, no children under 13 are allowed in the building.
Everything is free, and there are no income requirements.
Contact the church at 207-377-8620 for more information.
