SeniorsPlus continues to offer free online workshops in July

LEWISTON — While the SeniorsPlus Education Center locations are not open, the agency on aging continues to offer virtual workshops.
The center also welcomes suggestions on class topics, or to register for offerings, email edcenter@seniorsplus.org or call 207-795-4010.

Some classes offered in July are:
Zoom 101: Using Video Technology to Stay Connected, 10-10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 14 or July 28. Become more familiar on how to use Zoom to participate in SeniorsPlus’ online classes or to stay connected with friends and family. Educational material and resources will be provided for continued.
Medicare Made Simple, 2:30-4:30 p.m., Thursday, July 16. A pre-recorded Zoom class to learn how to navigate Medicare.
Trivia, 2-3 p.m., Thursday, July 23. Love Trivia? Looking for something to do? Come join SeniorsPlus for trivia hour.
Journalism, Truth and Healthy Communities, 2-3 p.m. Thursday, July 23. Judy Meyer, executive editor of the Sun Journal, Kennebec Journal and Morning Sentinel discusses the importance of newspapers and our evolution into an increasingly digital platform. There will be time for Q&A.
