Auburn students get chance to learn with CLC program

AUBURN — It’s no secret that while school buildings are closed, students in Auburn are continuing to learn. The Auburn School Department’s Community Learning Center program is helping to supplement that great at-home learning with virtual and distance afterschool programs.
Qualifying students in grades 3 to 6 are provided with a surprise delivery of fun learning activities each week. Activities have included STEM challenges, art supplies and projects, snack math, outdoor play, journaling,and plenty of other opportunities for hands-on learning at home.
Families are encouraged to participate in the activities with their CLC students and send photos for our Facebook page so everyone can keep learning together.
Middle school students are offered fun virtual activities that take place Monday through Thursday for an hour each day when school would normally dismiss. Students have logged on to ZOOM to participate in game show-style games, a Star Wars day, trivia, Mad Libs, riddles and brainteasers, and the popular roleplaying game Dungeons & Dragons.
