LIVERMORE FALLS — While Treat Memorial Library is closed to the public until further notice, staff are manning the phone during regular library hours to assist where possible, and the library has several virtual programs to keep people entertained.
The staff will keep patrons informed as things change. No late fees will be accrued during this time, and the library asks that patrons do not return items until the library is open. While it is closed, be sure to check the library’s Facebook page for online programming.
“Travel” with the library at 1 p.m. every Tuesday at 1 p.m. with the Armchair Traveler Game, With a roll of the dice, you’ll get a place, date, compass direction and the weather. The rest is up to you. Let the library know where you are “traveling.”
Online Story Time will is at 10:30 a.m. Wednesdays. Every week, a staff member will read aloud from a favorite picture book.
Being creative can be a wonderful outlet in these tough times. Art Therapy Thursdays begin at 3 p.m. This is where patrons can get ideas and inspiration for how to use art in positive ways.
Fridays give patrons the opportunity to gather the supplies needed for “Crafternoons.” An instructional Crafternoon video will be posted Saturday at noon with instructions on how to make crafts out of some things you may have around the house.
For reading material during this time, there are many resources available. With the Cloud Library app, you can download ebooks and audiobooks. Download the app and then you will be prompted to enter your library card number and your password. Once that is done, you should be free to browse the selection.
