LEWISTON — An old-time New England and French-Canadian dance session, with music by fiddler/accordionist/pianist Doug Protsik and friends will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 14, at Lewiston Public Library, 200 Lisbon St.
The session is free and open to the public, and will hbe held in the Callahan Room, on the third floor of the library. Caller Cindy Larock will lead attendees in an assortment of fun and easy contras, squares and circle dances. No experience is necessary to participate. Those attending may also just sit and tap their feet.
Dance class students will demonstrate their folk choreography learned in the eight-week workshop sponsored by Museum L-A, in partnership with Aroha Philanthropies and the Lewiston Public Library.
Light refreshments will be provided.
