Appalachian Trail artwork on exhibit at Carrabassett Valley library from March through April

CARRABASSETT VALLEY — Morgain Bailey will exhibit her work during March and April at the Carrabassett Valley Public Library & Community Center, 3209 Carrabassett Drive, 3. Visitors are invited to walk along the Appalachian Trail through an imaginary landscape.
There will be a wine and cheese reception from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Friday, March 13, in the Begin Room at the library.
Bailey, whose studio is in Kingfield, works primarily with painting and photography. The exhibited work at the library is series of semi-abstract paintings inspired by the Appalachian Trail and U.S. Geological Survey topographic maps of the area the trail goes through in western Maine.
Exhibit hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and noon to 3 p.m. Sunday. The Sunday hours will change as of April 12.
