Readfield Historical Society annual meeting, bicentennial potluck, are March 14

READFIELD — The Readfield Historical Society;s annual meeting and program will be “The Proprietors of the Kennebec Valley: Good Guys or Bady Guys?” The program, presented by Jym St. Pierre, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 14, at Gile Hall, 8 Old Kents Hill Road.
Later that same night, a Maine Bicentennial Potluck Dinner will be held at the Alfond Dining Commons at Kents Hill School. Doors open at 5:30, with the dinner at 6 p.m.
There is no admission for the dinner, which is open to all. Guests are encouraged to bring a hot dish or salad. The featured speaker will be David Cheever, vice chair of the Maine Bicentennial Commission. Co-Sponsors are Readfield Historical Society; Readfield Community Library; Age Friendly Committee; and Readfield U.
