Western Mountains Baptist Church Family Fun Day outdoors event is Feb. 16

NEW PORTLAND — The Western Mountains Baptist Church is hosting a Family Fun Day on Sunday, Feb. 16, that’s free and open to the community.
The event will start at the church, 928 Carrabassett Road, around 11 a.m., immediately following the church’s 10 a.m. worship service. It will take place both at the church and at Gilmore Hill, a mile up Route 27 in Kingfield.
The festivities will include a bonfire for roasting hot dogs and marshmallows, as well as hot chocolate, all provided by the church. There will also be a potluck lunch will also be provided. The church will also provide a place to get warm before and after sliding down Gilmore Hill.
The public is invited to join in on all the fun, food and fellowship.
