BETHEL — The Mahoosuc Land Trust is hosting a casual snow shoe tree identification hike from 10 to noon, Tuesday, Feb. 18.
Mike Richard, district forester for the Maine Forest Service, will help participants learn to identify trees by their bark, buds and bud scars.
The outing is at Carter’s Cross-Country Ski Center, 786 Intervale Road. Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for ages 7 to 18, and children 6 and under may participate free of charge. A light lunch will be included. Snow shoe rental is extra.
