Turner Public Library kicks off homeschool series with scavenger hunt

Jan. 252020

TURNER — The Turner Public Library has a Library Scavenger Hunt planned as the first event in a series for families that home school.
All homeschoolers, whether they live in Turner or not, are invited to join Turner Public Library from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27. Students will learn more about the library and how to find all they need for education, including the many resources offered by Turner Public Library, which is at 98 Matthews Way.
Students will work together in groups of varying ages on this activity, so homeschoolers of all ages are encouraged to attend.
Turner Public Library will offer different hands-on fun activities throughout the year for local home schooling families. Events for homeschooling families are planned for one Thursday of each month. In March and April, TPL has planned a Writing Workshop to engage students in creative writing. This will be held over two dates, March 19 and April 16, and advance registration is recommended.
There is no cost for these events and all homeschoolers are welcome. For more information, contact the library at info@turnerpubliclibrary.org or by telephone at 207-225-2030.
