JAY — The town of Jay Recreation Committee will host the eighth annual Spruce Mountain Sled-In and Winter Family Festival from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, at French Falls Park on French Falls Lane.
The festival is a free family event with lots of outdoor winter fun, including a bonfire, sleigh rides, snow shoe races with prizes, sliding on a snow mountain, a Valentine’s-themed scavenger hunt, snow sculpture contest with prizes and more.
There also will be a 50/50 and raffles available along with delicious food and a heated tent.
Participants should bring sliding sleds and snow shoes if they have them, as only a limited number are available for use at the event. Local snowmobile clubs and sponsors help make the event possible each year.
