LEEDS — The Leeds Community Church will host a book discussion group, to be held on both Mondays and Wednesdays. Those attending can choose which day to attend.
The first session is 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27, and and 1 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29.
First up is the book “Neighborhood Church: Transforming Your Congregation into a Powerhouse for Mission.”
Topics and questions for discussion include:
* What should a church be like in the 2020’s and beyond?
* What do people today need and want in a church?
* How can the church continue to be a vibrant center of worship, carrying out the mission of Christ in this area?
These are challenging questions the church is addressing in order to be a continuing and welcoming presence in the Leeds area.
Those who’d like to participate are invited to explore their thoughts about church and help answer these questions by attending the upcoming series of discussions.
