FARMINGTON — The next meeting of the Franklin County Democratic Committee will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, at Mallett School, 16 Middle St.
At its January meeting, there will be a surprise speakerm as well as discussion of plans for the caucus which will be held Sunday, March 8.
Meetings are open to the public; all are invited.
At its December gathering, the committee hosted Betsy Sweet, who is running in the Democratic primary for the U.S. Senate seat cheld by Susan Collins.
In another recent session, the committee collected household items for the Western Maine Homeless Outreach.
