FAIRFIELD — A free interactive session on the future of municipal and residential solar energy in Maine will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, at the Kennebec Valley Council of Governments, 17 Main St.
The sessions is spnsord by KVCOG, the Natural Resource Council of Maine, Nexamp Solar Solutions,and the Solar Energy Association of Maine.
Lunch will be provided at no cost and the session is open to all.

The public will have an opportunity to hear from experts in both the private and public sectors, as well as hear from a planner with practical experience. Speakers will be Ben Axelman, Nexamp; Sadie Lloyd Mudge, board Member, Solar Energy Association of Maine; Sophie Janeway, National Resources Council of Maine
“We’re enthusiastic about the chance to host this session in conjunction with our expert partners” states KVCOG Executive Director Laura Cyr. “Solar energy is an important topic for Maine right now, and we are glad of the chance to hold this informative session in our region of the state.”
This session is the fourth of its kind to be held around the state since October, with another session to take place in southern Maine in late January.
