Leeds’ Jordan honored by former players by throwing out first pitch

The Leeds Youth Athletic Association is closing out the year by noting that long-time supporter Dave Jordan was honored this year by throwing out the first pitch at the association’s opening day ceremony at Stinchfield Ball Fields in the spring. Jordan has worked at Leeds Central School as custodian as well as coaching youth baseball for many years, from which he has now retired. With him is Dan Mellen, recent president of LYAA and one of Jordan’s former players. Jordan continues to support local youth by attending sports games in all seasons. He is even frequently found watching his former student friends at Leavitt High school games. (Submitted photo)
